How to Plant a Tree: Part 1 Planting Your Tree the Right Way
Steps on how to properly plant your tree: 1. Start with the planting hole that is as deep as the rootball and at least twice as wide. 2. Roll the tree into the hole. 3. Position the tree in the hole. You want the area where the roots meet the trunk to be at or slightly above the grown, that’s called the root flare. It should be visible. This is the biggest mistake we see with people planting new trees too deep.
